How chimpanzees are like humans
- Chimps are a lot like humans in many different ways. Some of the ways I will talk to you about is the way they ,think, play, and move.
- How they think. Chimps think a lot like us,for example, there was a chimpanzee in the 1970s that was named Nim Chimsky, that scientists raised as a human. He learned some sign language.
- He learn 125 words and he could say, "give orange me give eat orange me eat orange give me eat orange give me you." He is living happily at Colombia university. That means that they can learn and think sort of like we can.
- Chimpanzees share 99% of our dna. They are our closest living relatives, which is pretty cool!
- Some examples are that they can walk on two legs, they eat fruits and plants, they use stones to open stuff, they use spears to hunt.
